Hanna Wozna-Gil, kennel Festina

Dogs have been my love from the childhood but the first pedigree dog I got

from my father in 1996. It was an Irish wolfhound female born in Poland

POCAHONTAS Wind Composition which in a short time became Polish

Junior Champion and Polish Champion. In the year 2000 I and my husband

brought from Germany a couple of Deerhounds PETRONELLA and OLE

von den Oelmuehle and a year later my first litter was born.

So far we had 21 wolfhound and 5 deerhound litters. The offspring live in

Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic,

Hungary, Germany, Holland and in Finland. We generally breed on English,

German, Dutch, Russian and Scandinavian lines and aim at health,

good temperament, sound movement and balanced body.

Our most successful dogs were Deerhound female Intch & MultiCh

ANGIE Festina (Intch Ch GB Kilbourne LUFFA to Oelmuehle x

Ch PETRONELLA von der Oelmuehle), Irish wolfhound female

Intch & MultiCh GEISHA Festina (ICEMAN von der Oelmuehle x MultiCh RAMONA Iz Volshebnogo Lesa) and now our top dog is Irish wolfhound female C.I.B. SORAYA Festina (Ch BEREN z Wichrowego Czuba x Ch PROXANA Festina).

But Irish wolfhounds and Deerhounds are not the only breeds I lived with. I also owned a

Beagle, Whippet and Chart Polski. The last one, called Ch BEHEMOT Arcturus, was an amazing male, top chart polski of his times. He won many shows, among them was the most important one - World Dog Show in Poland in 2006 were he won against over 80 dogs, the largest number of Chart Polski which ever entered a show!

While living with dogs, going for shows and organizing them I naturally became more

interested in judging. Supported by my friends and family, especially by my husband, I passed all the exams and was qualified as a judge for all sighthounds in 2008. Some time later I was also authorized to judge all breeds in groups IV, VIII, unrecognized breeds, Junior Handling and BIS competitions. Being a judge is a great honour for me and gives me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction. Before judging I feel a thrill and excitement, and always look forward to it as dog shows also give me the opportunity to meet exceptional people who share with me the passion for dogs.
